We are seeking an Associate Director – Bridges in our Birmingham-based bridges team to strategically lead our Birmingham-based bridges team. This role blends technical excellence, project leadership, client engagement, and commercial oversight. You will shape discipline direction, support talent development, and play a central part in winning, delivering, and growing our bridge engineering portfolio.
You’ll join a supportive national bridges network with access to a strong L&D programme and genuine long-term career progression. We are a Disability Confident Employer.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the Luton bridges team.
- Lead major projects and multidisciplinary design commissions.
- Oversee technical excellence, governance and commercial performance.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Mentor senior engineers and support team capability growth.
- Contribute to bids, frameworks and pipeline development.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications: Chartered Engineer (ICE/IStructE).
Experience: Extensive consultancy experience leading major bridge infrastructure projects.
Skills: Strategic leadership, commercial management, stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Qualifications: Fellowship (FICE/FIStructE).
Experience: Track record in business development or framework leadership.
Skills: Expertise in digital engineering or sustainability leadership.
