We are looking to hire for an Associate Engineer in our London Land Development team.

Role Purpose

Lead the delivery of UK private-sector land development infrastructure and drainage design, producing commercially optimised, compliant, and approval-ready engineering solutions. Provide technical coordination and mentor early-career engineers to strengthen our internal capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • S38/S278 highways design (road geometry, pavement, access, junctions)
  • Drainage and SuDS strategy + detailed design (surface, foul, sewer networks)
  • Earthworks optimisation and cut/fill balance
  • Utilities and service design, including diversions and easements
  • Design reports (FRA, Drainage/SuDS, Infrastructure/Transport Statements)
  • Approvals management with Local Authorities, LLFAs, and water companies
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide multidisciplinary technical oversight
  • Support bids, client scoping, and design risk/constructability decisions

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree/Masters Level Civil Engineer
  • Considerable years’ experience in delivering projects in the Land Development Sector.
  • AutoCAD + Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage (or equivalent)
  • Technical leadership
  • Client Management
  • Bid writing and fee proposals
  • Proficient written and verbal skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered CEng MICE (or equivalent) preferred
  • Proven team leadership
  • Experience in other standards (DMRB, Eurocodes etc.) desirable.
