We are looking to hire for an Associate Engineer in our London Land Development team.
Role Purpose
Lead the delivery of UK private-sector land development infrastructure and drainage design, producing commercially optimised, compliant, and approval-ready engineering solutions. Provide technical coordination and mentor early-career engineers to strengthen our internal capability.
Key Responsibilities
- S38/S278 highways design (road geometry, pavement, access, junctions)
- Drainage and SuDS strategy + detailed design (surface, foul, sewer networks)
- Earthworks optimisation and cut/fill balance
- Utilities and service design, including diversions and easements
- Design reports (FRA, Drainage/SuDS, Infrastructure/Transport Statements)
- Approvals management with Local Authorities, LLFAs, and water companies
- Mentor junior engineers and provide multidisciplinary technical oversight
- Support bids, client scoping, and design risk/constructability decisions
Essential Qualifications
- Degree/Masters Level Civil Engineer
- Considerable years’ experience in delivering projects in the Land Development Sector.
- AutoCAD + Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage (or equivalent)
- Technical leadership
- Client Management
- Bid writing and fee proposals
- Proficient written and verbal skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chartered CEng MICE (or equivalent) preferred
- Proven team leadership
- Experience in other standards (DMRB, Eurocodes etc.) desirable.
