At Peligoni, our childcare offering is a huge part of what makes the club so special for families. From babies in the crèche through to older children and teenagers finding their independence, we want our younger guests to feel safe, inspired, confident and completely at home.

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Childcare Manager to join us on a year-round basis and lead the next stage of childcare at Peligoni. This role will play an important part in shaping the department over the coming years - building on what we do well, refining how we work and helping us develop our childcare offering in a thoughtful and sustainable way.

During the summer season, you will be based in Greece, overseeing the full childcare operation across all age groups, from babies and toddlers through to teens. During the winter months, you will be based in the UK, focusing on planning, policy, training, recruitment, programme development and preparation for the season ahead.

As part of the club leadership team, you will also act as the voice of our younger guests, making sure children and families are considered in wider conversations about the club, our spaces, our programming and the overall guest journey. You will need to balance what is best for children and families with what is operationally realistic, commercially viable and right for Peligoni as a whole.

This is a varied, hands-on leadership role that requires strong childcare knowledge, seasonal operational experience, excellent organisation and the ability to bring people, plans and details together.

Responsibilities
  • Summer - Greece
    • Oversee the full childcare operation across all age groups.
    • Lead, support and develop the childcare supervisors and wider seasonal team.
    • Manage staffing, rotas, ratios, daily logistics and coordination between programmes.
    • Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, health and safety, hygiene and guest care.
    • Act as a key point of contact for parents and carers, responding to questions, feedback and concerns professionally.
    • Work closely with other departments and contribute as part of the club leadership team.
    • Lead by example, stepping into the operation when needed and supporting the team practically.
  • Winter – UK
    • Review and refine childcare policies, procedures, risk assessments and SOPs.
    • Plan and improve the childcare programme ahead of each season.
    • Develop training materials and support pre-season training.
    • Work with the People team on recruitment, selection and onboarding.
    • Review guest, parent and team feedback to identify areas for improvement.
    • Support new ideas and initiatives as part of Peligoni’s wider expansion plans.
About You

You will be:

  • An experienced childcare leader with strong people management skills.
  • Highly organised, proactive and confident managing logistics.
  • Confident communicating with parents, team members and senior leaders.
  • Passionate about creating safe, fun and engaging experiences for children.
  • Comfortable balancing hands-on support with higher-level planning.
  • Excited by the opportunity to help grow and develop childcare at Peligoni.
  • Happy to spend summers in Greece and winters working from the UK.
Essential Requirements
  • Strong experience in a childcare, children’s activity, education, camp, resort or family-focused setting.
  • Experience managing multiple age groups, from early years through to teens.
  • Experience designing or improving children's programmes.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding or training.
  • A Level 3 or higher childcare qualification, or equivalent, is desirable.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and Greece (with visa).
Salary & Benefits
  • £40,000 per annum
  • Bonus opportunity
  • Accommodation and meals provided during the Greek season
  • 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays
  • Discounts across the Peligoni portfolio
  • Annual Sand & Stone Stay, after one year in service
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Be part of a close, collaborative leadership team
