About The Peligoni Club
The Peligoni Club is a family-run members’ club on the island of Zakynthos, Greece. The Deli Kitchen, part of our food offering, is a relaxed, all-day restaurant located just a short drive from the club, overlooking the Ionian Sea. It offers a laid-back alternative to the main restaurants, welcoming both Peligoni guests and visitors from the local port.
The menu evolves throughout the day - brunch-style dishes in the morning and early afternoon, followed by a simple, Italian-influenced evening offering including fresh salads, pasta, and wood-fired pizzas. Most dishes are also available to take away, making the Deli a popular choice for guests heading back to their villas for relaxed dining.
About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic, organised and hands-on Deli Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the Deli Kitchen. This is a front-of-house, F&B-focused leadership role, similar to a restaurant manager, with responsibility for service standards, team performance and guest experience.
You’ll lead a team across brunch and evening service, ensuring smooth operations, strong communication between front and back of house, and a consistently high standard of service. You’ll also support reservations, oversee takeaway flow, and ensure the Deli remains well-presented, well-stocked and efficient throughout the day.
This is a fast-paced, guest-facing role suited to a confident manager who thrives on responsibility, leads from the front and enjoys creating a relaxed but polished dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day front and back of house operations of the Deli Kitchen.
- Lead service across brunch and early evening dining, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable guest experience.
- Coordinate reservations and walk-ins, maximising capacity and managing flow.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to maintain food quality, consistency and service timing.
- Oversee takeaway operations, ensuring efficiency and presentation standards are maintained.
- Ensure the Deli is always clean, organised and well presented.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and allergen compliance.
- Monitor stock levels with the Head Chef and minimise waste.
- Ensure all products are correctly labelled, packaged and presented.
- Respond to guest feedback and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
- Train, support and motivate the Deli team, creating a positive working environment.
- Work with the F&B Manager to deliver training and maintain service standards.
- Manage billing, EPOS systems and ensure all guest accounts are accurate.
- Drive upselling and support the team in achieving weekly targets.
- Maintain strong communication with other departments across the club.
- Support wider F&B operations and events when required.
About You
You will be someone who is:
- An experienced and confident hospitality manager.
- Passionate about delivering relaxed but high-quality food and service.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- A natural leader who enjoys developing and motivating a team.
- Calm, resilient and able to perform under pressure.
- Guest-focused, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, hands-on and happy working across all areas of the operation.
- A strong communicator who builds relationships easily.
- Adaptable and enthusiastic about seasonal life.
- A motivated, energetic team player.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in a management role within hospitality, in a restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good understanding of allergens, food labelling and service standards.
- Barista experience.
- Strong IT skills, including EPOS and reservations systems.
- Up-to-date Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
- First Aid Certificate (desirable).
- Full driving licence (desirable).
- Available for the full season (May – October).
- EU passport holder.
