About The Peligoni Club
The Peligoni Club is a family‑run members club on the beautiful island of Zakynthos, Greece. Our crèches provide a safe, happy, and nurturing environment for our youngest guests – from babies as young as 4 months to curious toddlers and preschoolers up to 3 years. With soft‑play spaces, outdoor grassy areas and age‑appropriate activities, the crèche is a calm and caring haven where children can play, explore and feel secure. Our childcare team is warm, energetic and professional, helping families feel supported and creating the kind of holiday experience parents can truly relax into.
About the Role
We’re looking for caring, confident and experienced Crèche Supervisors to take a daily leadership role within our childcare department. Reporting to the Childcare Manager, you will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the crèche, work directly with children, support the wider team and ensure high standards of care, safety and communication every single day. This is a hands‑on Early Years role where you will lead by example – working in ratio where required, guiding staff, welcoming families and keeping the crèche running smoothly. When two crèches operate simultaneously, you’ll oversee one of them independently, making key decisions and managing activities, routines and staff deployment. It’s the ideal role for an Early Years professional who loves being on the floor with children while confidently managing a small team in a fast‑paced, seasonal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily running of the crèche, ensuring smooth, consistent and high‑quality childcare operations.
- Work directly with children, staying in ratio where required while maintaining exceptional care and safety.
- Oversee one of the crèches independently when multiple sites are open.
- Welcome families each day, gather essential information and build trusting relationships with parents and carers.
- Create a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 4 months to 3 years.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate indoor and outdoor activities.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene; support daily and weekly cleaning routines.
- Carry out daily risk assessments and respond confidently to emergencies.
- Provide friendly, clear communication and feedback to parents.
- Record incidents, accidents and important child information accurately.
- Work with the kitchen team to provide healthy snacks and meals.
- Liaise with other departments to support smooth childcare operations.
- Help train and guide seasonal childcare staff throughout the season.
- Address guest queries or concerns with professionalism and confidence.
- Support evening childcare sessions and provide babysitting (minimum two nights per week, paid extra).
- Take on additional tasks when required to support the smooth running of the club.
About You
You will be someone who is:
- Warm, caring and genuinely passionate about Early Years childcare.
- Confident leading a small team and managing a daily childcare operation.
- Energetic, creative and enthusiastic with activity planning.
- Patient, safety‑focused and calm under pressure.
- A strong communicator who builds trust easily with parents and colleagues.
- Proactive, organised and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
- A positive team player with a “go the extra mile” attitude.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Childcare & Education or Early Years (or equivalent).
- Proven experience working with babies (4 months+) and young children.
- Previous supervisory or senior Early Years experience.
- Full Paediatric First Aid Certificate (required).
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable).
- DBS Certificate, Garda Vetting or equivalent.
- UK/EU passport holder.
Why Join Us
