Ensuring workload is completed, targets are met, and materials are available on time. Completing documentation fully and accurately and following record management practices. Receiving goods and performing incoming quality checks. Preparing goods for shipping and loading them onto outbound vehicles. Supporting inventory control, including updating electronic and manual records and systems. Keeping the warehouse clean, orderly and safe.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Work as part of the team in goods receiving, dispatch and/or picking materials for production and assembly areas.
- Ensure quality inspections are carried out and materials are to an acceptable level of specification.
- Support material (stock) control ensuring you and team follow FIFO.
- Assist with cycle counting and stock investigations as needed.
- Update SAP and other reports as needed.
- Ensure waste is managed in your area.
- Support the Quality Assurance activities of the company regarding ISO/GMP compliance.
- Work with the team on continuous improvement ideas, daily/weekly/monthly housekeeping and complete any 6S or Walk of Pride actions.
- Liaise with all areas of the business to ensure customers’ needs are met, communicating effectively at all levels while acting as a point of contact for any questions relating to your area.
- Follow company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures in accordance with the job.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- At least 3 years’ experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- At least 1 year experience leading a team.
- Extensive knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP system is required.
- Numeracy skills and attention to detail are a must for this role along with experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
Physical Requirements And Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
- Must be able to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- This position requires working in confined spaces and working at height.
