Pektron are looking for a Trainee Electronics Test Technician to work in both our Environmental and Electrical Test functions. We are looking for someone with a passion for electronics and a keen interest in manufacturing and engineering.
Our testing and validation facilities include:
- EMC
- Climatic and dust Chambers
- Force Measurement
- HIL Rig Testing
- HALT
- Environmental Test Rigs
- ESD Facility
- Transient and vibration Testing
Pay and hours:
- Working hours: 39 per week (flexi time core hours 10am to 4pm / 10am to 1pm on Friday)
- £13.22 per hour, paid weekly
- Based: DE21 4AP
- Holiday: 20 days per year (plus bank holidays), increasing with service to 25 days
- Opportunities for further training, qualifications and progression to other roles within our engineering department
Duties:
- Perform electrical and EMC product validation (Electrical Only)
- Perform environmental product validation (Environmental Only)
- Report creation
- Maintain a tidy, safe and professional working environment
- Equipment maintenance
- Aid Quality Assurance and Engineering departments in root cause analysis of faulty parts
- Assist in the creation, maintenance and quotation of product test plans
- Identify the need and seek assistance from more experienced members of the team when required
- Proactively identify own knowledge gaps and report
- Engage fully in the mentoring program
