As a Principal Data Scientist, you will enhance PEI's growth and achievement by improving the customer experience with intelligent, customized solutions. You will leverage the latest AI and ML technologies to ensure our customer offerings are not only enjoyable and seamless but also at the cutting edge of industry innovation. In this role, you will shape the principles and practice of Data Science delivery at PEI. You will build models that drive impact for customers and impact your peers through mentoring and the dissemination of your ideas and principles. As a Principal Data Scientist at PEI you will…
- Develop and enhance machine learning models and deploy them into production.
- Co-create the standards for Data Science delivery from discovery through to production.
- Utilize your expertise in analytics, data science, and data storytelling to see beyond the numbers, understanding user interactions with our products and communications, and how these insights can shape our communication strategy.
- Guide and empower teams to measure what matters; initiate or assist in running A/B experiments to continuously improve our efforts.
- Work closely with engineers to ensure we collect the right data to generate relevant business insights.
- Collaborate with various departments, including product, editorial, and commercial, to leverage machine learning and analytics to identify optimization opportunities.
- Conduct deep analysis into the core aspects of PEI's operations to fully understand key levers and propose improvements.

- Have an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.

- Have considerable knowledge of, and experience using advanced statistical techniques in an applied setting.
- Possess the ability to write production quality code in Python and SQL.
