We’re looking for a New Media Designer to join our London-based Design team, supporting the production and delivery of standout editorial and sponsored content across print and digital. You’ll help shape the visual identity of our titles, ensuring high-quality creative that aligns with our house style and design standards. In this role, you’ll collaborate across departments to produce editorial designs, data visualisations, animations, social media assets, and podcast creative, contributing to design‑led thinking and supporting smooth production workflows.
Purpose of the Job
Working on the production, and the delivery of all design collateral for editorial and sponsored content. This role is central to delivering the visual impact to our editorial products across print and online, whilst maintaining house-style and all design standards across the group titles. It requires strong creative skills, excellent time management, and a good understanding of design trends, print pre‑production, and digital tools.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Contribute to design‑led thinking across editorial/special projects.
- Work collaboratively to develop designs for editorial/special projects.
- Work on data visualisations, surveys and data presentations.
- Work on animations for social media promotions.
- Work on podcasts creative and animations.
- Work with the team to develop other aspects of design using creative and production tools old and new.
- Work with the Production Team to ensure design deadlines are met.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with Production and Special Reports regarding all editorial/sponsored design projects.
- Participate actively in editorial planning and production meetings.
About You
Essential Experience
Experience in B2B publishing with a financial focus and working with print, digital creative, plus social media would be a benefit.
Essential Knowledge / Skills
Excellent and advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, in particular InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat. Advanced knowledge of PremierPro, AfterEffects, Adobe Firefly and Adobe Express. Data visualisations and charts creation knowledge would be an advantage. Use and working knowledge of third‑party picture libraries e.g. Getty Images and the latest AI tools.
