As content producer, you will work across PEI's brands – including Private Equity International, Buyouts, Infrastructure Investor and Private Debt Investor – gaining valuable market insight, building knowledge and developing contacts in these key areas of the alternative assets sector.

In this wide-ranging role, you will assist with multimedia projects, including podcast and video production, and collaborate closely with the editors to identify relevant content for reports, assist with writing assignments, commission, copyedit and proofread articles. You will also liaise closely with our marketing, print production and design teams. The role has the scope for the candidate to progress to the position of senior content producer or special projects editor.

About You

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Collaborate with colleagues across offices to develop original content ideas for podcasts, videos and print products.
  • Liaise directly with external clients to ensure video and podcast interviews, guest commentaries, keynote interviews, roundtables and related materials are produced to PEI and client standards.
  • Research, write and edit articles for print and digital on private equity developments and trends for special supplements and projects.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with other departments (e.g. Research & Analytics, Marketing, Advertising, Design) regarding all special projects.
  • Work closely with PEI Media title editors to ensure content and direction is in line with industry trends and editorial mission.
  • Participate actively in editorial planning and production meetings.
  • Co-ordinate the efficient sourcing of relevant production assets including photographs, headshots, charts, graphs, etc.
  • Oversee production of each report or multimedia project, adhering to deadlines.
  • Assist in developing social media assets for special projects.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in journalism either as a reporter or an editor, ideally within the finance sector or a B2B publication.
  • Experience with multimedia projects, including podcast and video production.
  • Ability to co-ordinate with journalists, the production team and design team to meet deadlines with as little stress as possible.
  • An understanding of the alternative assets and private equity industry.
  • Experience working with sponsors and commercial partners to produce thought leadership.
  • Ability to research market trends and data and help shape potential feature/report themes.
  • An understanding of both print and digital journalism and the different approaches required.
  • Data savvy with the ability to turn complex survey results into accessible editorial content.

Personal Attributes

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organised and approachable – we're looking for someone who's friendly and pleasant to work with but can still balance priorities when it comes to deadlines and producing high quality content.
  • Collaborative approach – an ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
  • Able to remain focused in the face of multiple competing priorities and ensure key deadlines.
  • High degree of personal pride in own and company work, constantly striving to improve.
  • Desire to be part of a dynamic business with high growth expectations.
  • Keen to stretch self and develop career at PEI.
