As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a passionate Sales Development Representative to join our dynamic sales team.
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Pego will be responsible for managing the early-stage sales pipeline, taking leads from origination and qualification to first meeting with a senior sales representative. This role is ideal for someone who is a natural communicator and highly organised. If you are eager to develop your sales skillset, collaborate with a high-performing team, and help drive revenue growth, we want to hear from you! No previous sales experience required.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and research potential customers through various channels (LinkedIn, industry events, online databases, etc.). Conduct outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails, and social media outreach.
- Lead Qualification: Engage with leads to understand their business needs, challenges, and potential fit for Pego’s solutions. Qualify prospects and transition them to Account Executives or Sales Managers for deeper sales conversations.
- Pipeline Management: Take ownership of maintaining the sales pipeline data accurate and up to date in the CRM system (Monday.com). Track lead statuses and ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads to the appropriate sales team members. Continuously research and trial digital solutions (including AI) to improve the efficiency of the sales operations.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with marketing to review performance of various marketing initiatives and align on campaign messaging, collateral, and lead nurturing strategies. Provide feedback on lead quality and market trends to help refine targeting and sales tactics.
- Performance Tracking: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly key performance indicators (KPIs) for meetings booked, opportunities created, and other sales metrics. Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews to continuously improve.
- Continuous Learning & Adaptation: Stay up to date on Pego’s product offerings, industry trends, and competitor activities. Adapt outreach strategies based on new product features, market shifts, and feedback from prospects.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build rapport quickly and tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
- IT Proficiency: A good all-round knowledge and ability to learn fast and work at speed with basic IT tools: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Canva, Social Media platforms, and web-based work management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, Airtable, etc.
- Motivation & Resilience: Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls/emails daily; ability to handle rejection and remain positive.
- Collaboration: Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Adaptability: Openness to feedback and desire to learn and grow within a scaling organization.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a sales, business development, or customer-facing role is preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field is a plus, but not strictly required.
- CRM Familiarity: Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) is a plus.
