Pegasus isseekingan experienced and proactive Finance Manager to lead our financial planning, reporting and governance. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic arts charity at the heart of Oxford’s cultural community, helping to ensure our long-term sustainability while supporting our ambitious programme for children, youngpeopleand artists.
Reporting to the Joint CEOs and working closely with Trustees,you’llprovide strategic financial leadership alongside managing the organisation’s day‑to‑day finances.You’llalso line manage our part‑time Finance Officer and play a key role in supporting informed decision‑making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Pegasus’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for the Joint CEOs, Finance Committee and Board of Trustees.
- Oversee all day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring robust financial controls and compliance.
- Manage payroll, pensions, VAT returns, Gift Aid claims and statutory financial reporting.
- Prepare annual accounts and work with external accountants and auditors.
- Monitor organisational performance against budgets,identifyingrisks and opportunities.
- Support organisational business planning and contribute to strategic decision‑making.
- Linemanagethe Finance Officer and promote strong financial processes across the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with charity, financial and employment legislation andmaintainup‑to‑date financial policies and procedures.
About You
You’llbe an experienced finance professional who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands‑onfinancial management.
You’llhave:
- At least 3–5 years’ experience in a similar finance role.
- Strong knowledge of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, payroll,VATand statutory reporting.
- Advanced Sage experience.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to explain financial information clearly to colleagues and Trustees.
- A collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Experience within the arts, charity or not‑for‑profit sector is desirable, as is an understanding of organisations working with children and young people.
