A UK-based construction consultancy is seeking Project Controls Risk Managers at multiple levels to support the delivery of infrastructure and construction projects. These roles involve contributing to the effective management of risk within complex programmes, with responsibilities spanning both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver risk management services on major construction and infrastructure projects.
- Lead or contribute to Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA), including Schedule (QSRA) and Cost (QCRA) risk analysis.
- Facilitate risk identification and assessment workshops, ensuring consistent documentation and outputs.
- Develop and maintain project-specific risk registers, in line with client and governance requirements.
- Integrate risk analysis with planning, cost forecasting, and reporting activities.
- Produce clear, evidence-based risk reporting for project controls and decision-making.
- Support the development and refinement of internal risk processes, tools, and templates.
- Where applicable, provide oversight and support to more junior risk professionals.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in risk management on construction and infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of project controls and how risk interfaces with planning, scheduling, and cost control functions.
- Practical experience with risk modelling software such as Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran Risk, @Risk, or equivalent.
- Ability to conduct QSRA and QCRA independently and to a high standard.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with experience engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with NEC contracts is advantageous.
- Relevant academic qualifications in project management, engineering, or a related field.
- Professional accreditation (e.g. APM Risk Certificate, PMI-RMP, IRM) is desirable.
