Senior Quantity Surveyor / Associate – Civil Engineering & Nuclear
Location: Hybrid (with travel to a London hub)
Salary: £60,000 – £90,000, depending on experience

Overview
A UK-based construction consultancy is seeking experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors and Associate level individual to support a major civil engineering and nuclear infrastructure programme. These roles are suited to commercially focused professionals with a track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects in a consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial management for a project section or major workstream
- Prepare, analyse, and present Earned Value data
- Oversee procurement processes and manage supplier performance
- Produce accurate financial and performance reports
- Support value engineering and risk mitigation strategies
- Manage contract administration, particularly under NEC target cost frameworks
- Lead change control, dispute resolution, and commercial governance
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Engage with clients and project stakeholders effectively
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience on complex civil engineering or nuclear infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts and target cost management
- Chartered status with RICS, ICES, CIOB or equivalent
- Experience leading commercial teams and delivering structured reporting
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Confident in stakeholder engagement and contractual negotiations
