This is an opportunity for a Project Controls Engineer (or Senior) to work on high-value, complex infrastructure projects. You’ll be right at the heart of delivery—owning the data, monitoring cost and schedule, and helping project leaders make informed, confident decisions.

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage integrated schedules (Primavera P6, MS Project), cost plans, and reporting dashboards across major programmes
  • Monitor project costs, forecast spend, and analyse variances to support commercial strategies
  • Lead change control, risk identification, and mitigation processes to maintain project alignment
  • Prepare and present clear, insightful reports using Power BI, Excel and other tools
  • Liaise closely with planning, commercial, and project management teams to ensure integrated controls and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with NEC contracts and project governance frameworks
  • Support continuous improvement in project controls processes and documentation (Senior level)
  • Provide mentoring, quality assurance and leadership across controls disciplines and support client capability development

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong track record in project controls or planning roles on major UK infrastructure projects (Rail, Power, Utilities, Defence, etc.)
  • Proficient in Primavera P6, Excel, and reporting tools like Power BI
  • Understanding of cost management, risk analysis and schedule integration
  • Working knowledge of NEC contract mechanisms and their implications on cost, schedule and change
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders
  • Degree in engineering, construction, project management or equivalent
  • Professional certifications such as APM, PRINCE2, or similar are a plus
  • Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel to project sites as required
