Job Opportunity: Development Project Monitor

About the Role
As a Development Project Monitor, you will oversee and report on the full lifecycle of development projects. This includes pre-acquisition due diligence, agreement negotiations, construction progress, and final delivery. You\’ll liaise with key stakeholders, track budgets, manage risks, and ensure compliance with UK regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Lead due diligence processes and monitor the entire development cycle, ensuring all milestones are met.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact for joint venture partners, housebuilders, and financial institutions, providing regular updates.
- Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, expenditures, and cash flow, ensuring alignment with approvals.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all construction meets high standards and specific handover requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or similar).
- 3–5+ years of experience in project monitoring, management, or consultancy, especially in residential developments.
- Demonstrated experience working on greenfield and brownfield housing developments within the UK.
- Strong knowledge of UK planning laws, building regulations, and sustainability practices.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Desirable: Professional certifications (RICS, CIOB, APM) and familiarity with modern construction techniques and tools like Tableau.
