Director of Cost Management | Nottingham | £80,000 - £110,000 + Bonus + Equity Opportunity

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a growing Cost Management function within one of the Midlands' most ambitious independent consultancies.

You'll play a key role in shaping the future growth of the Nottingham office, leading teams, developing client relationships, winning work, and helping drive the next phase of the business.

The Opportunity

You'll take responsibility for the operational, commercial, and strategic performance of the Cost Management team, working closely with the senior leadership group to expand the firm's presence across the East Midlands and beyond.

The business has established relationships across commercial, industrial, logistics, healthcare, education, public sector, and private development sectors, providing a strong platform for continued growth.

This is a role for someone who enjoys building teams, growing revenue streams, developing clients, and influencing business strategy as much as delivering projects.

The Role

  • Leading and growing the Nottingham Cost Management team
  • Managing and developing key client relationships
  • Driving business development and work-winning activity
  • Providing strategic oversight across major commissions
  • Supporting recruitment, mentoring, and team development
  • Contributing to regional growth plans and office strategy
  • Managing project profitability and commercial performance
  • Working collaboratively with Project Management, Building Surveying, and wider multidisciplinary teams
  • Acting as a senior ambassador for the business across the Midlands market

About You

  • Consultancy Cost Management / Quantity Surveying background
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing client relationships
  • Strong commercial awareness and growth mindset
  • Track record of winning and retaining work
  • Comfortable operating at a senior leadership level
  • MRICS qualified preferred
  • Existing Midlands market network highly advantageous
  • Ambitious and motivated to help grow a business rather than simply maintain one
