An established consultancy within the Energy & Natural Resources sector is looking to appoint experienced Commercial Professionals to support a growing pipeline of major infrastructure and energy projects across the UK. This role offers the opportunity to work across complex, high-profile programmes spanning areas such as nuclear, renewables, transmission & distribution, battery storage, carbon capture, sustainable fuels and wider infrastructure environments.
The business operates across multidisciplinary project teams, providing exposure to major programmes, long-term client relationships and varied project delivery models.
You will play a key role in the commercial and cost management delivery of major projects, supporting clients from programme inception through to completion. Responsibilities are likely to include:
- Managing commercial performance across projects and programmes
- Cost planning, forecasting, reporting and change control
- Contract administration under NEC3/NEC4 and/or FIDIC forms of contract
- Supporting procurement and tender evaluation processes
- Managing cashflow, valuations and final accounts
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks and opportunities
- Working closely with client, contractor and delivery teams to achieve project objectives
- Supporting value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives
- Producing clear commercial reporting and performance analysis
- Contributing to continuous improvement, lessons learned and internal best practice initiatives
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
- Experience within Quantity Surveying, Cost Management or Commercial Management roles
- Background delivering projects within Energy, Utilities or Infrastructure sectors
- Experience on major programmes or complex project environments
- Strong understanding of NEC3/4 contracts; FIDIC knowledge beneficial
- Commercial acumen with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively
- Degree or HNC qualified in a relevant discipline
- Professional chartership or working towards chartership preferred
