We have an exciting new opportunity for a Day Concierge to join us at Chimes Westminster, a stunning collection of 39 luxury apartments. Designed by award‑winning architects, Chimes also boasts a rooftop terrace, cinema screening room, residents lounge and treatment rooms. You will be part of a 24‑hour concierge team.
About our role
As Day Concierge your focus will be the supervision of the development ensuring a harmonious ambience where everything is geared to meet the needs and aspirations of those who live there. You will ensure we are fully compliant with everything relating to the health & safety of our development so we are looking for someone who ideally has buildings/property or facilities experience, as well as great face‑to‑face customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships with our residents. There is no such thing as a typical shift however you will lead on the following responsibilities:
- Provide an exceptional level of customer service and be the first point of contact for our owners and tenants.
- Carry out frequent building patrols whilst on duty, and record and report any issues in relation to the building and general standards.
- Manage access and security, including monitoring entry points, checking visitor identification, and ensuring only authorised individuals access the building.
- Support with the day to day running of the development, liaising with our Onsite Management Team and contractors. This may extend to occasional decision‑making and problem‑solving in the absence of our onsite management team.
- Act as a first point of contact and handle residents' inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues to appropriate departments when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and carry out a wide variety of administrative tasks, including daily operational diary management of the development.
- Handling and management of deliveries, including receiving, signing for and managing packages, notifying residents and guests, and ensuring secure storage.
- Where possible, assist with movement of luggage or other personalised items.
- Assisting with administrative tasks, such as handling mail and messages for guests or residents.
- Recommending transportation services based on resident preferences and requirements.
- Keep communication friendly, open, timely and professional at all times.
- Co‑ordinate, instruct and allow access for services to the estate, such as refuse collection, deliveries, repairs and maintenance, utility companies.
- Build lasting relationships with our homeowners and their families.
Additional information
You will work on a rota basis of 4 days on, 4 days off with shifts between 07:00 - 19:00. There may be times where you are required to attend training or company related events at site and/or other locations.
About you
- Educated to GCSE standard grade C or above, or equivalent in Maths and English, or with hospitality/property related vocational qualifications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong IT skills are essential, knowledge of Google Workspace is an advantage.
- Well presented and highly professional.
- Flexible and well organised with the ability to use initiative and remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to resolve queries and complaints effectively in a calm and professional manner.
- Knowledge of the local area and events including but not limited to restaurants, theatre scene, parkland, clubs and societies will be highly advantageous.
- Experience of facilities/property ideally with a knowledge of health & safety would be an advantage but isn’t essential.
- Experience of working a similar shift pattern is desirable but not essential.
Please note this position is subject to an enhanced DBS check. For the wellbeing of our staff we will also carry out a night worker questionnaire and health screening.
