Our client is a small family entertainment business owned by a large media organisation. They still operate as a standalone business and truly retain their own identity and warm culture. The role is to cover the current HR Manager’s maternity leave. This is a busy role with a high level of responsibility.
What are we looking for?
- CIPD member with excellent knowledge of up to date HR approaches and recent changes in HR practices, with at least 4 years of working in a busy generalist HR role.
- Experience of coaching staff and being able to demonstrate how this support was offered.
- Experience of managing all employee relations situations including practices that maintain positive working relationships.
- Experience of running HR administration, including payroll, benefits, updating the HRS, annual leave logging and contract updates, in an efficient and organised manner. This includes having strong written, verbal and numeracy skills.
- Experience of updating and creating company policies and procedures.
- Enjoy being part of a small team with the confidence to deal with all internal and external stakeholders regularly.
- Someone who is excellent at building relationships in order to communicate and influence at all levels in the organisation.
- Someone able to pursue positive employee engagement and promote the company culture.
- Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise.
- Flexibility, resourcefulness and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent awareness of GDPR rules with the ability to seek advice from our Legal team where needed.
- Strong ability to delve into the detail.
- You must be approachable, reliable and a strong problem solver, with impeccable organisation and planning skills. Capable of working to multiple tight deadlines with ease.
