My client, a global leader in the lift and escalator industry, are looking for a Lift Tester to join the team in the North East.
Key accountabilities:
- Commission the lift in accordance with the agreed specification parameters.
- Test the lift in accordance with the relevant test documents.
- Take measurements and complete the necessary documentation.
- Record any abnormalities for corrective action or inclusion in H&RA for the lift/site.
- Carry out final inspection and sign the Final inspection document.
- Liaise with relevant site personnel to ascertain state of lift.
- Take part in meetings and work groups related to quality and technical issues.
- Is responsible for the lift well security (safe for other trades and public etc) and safety of all persons involved in the installation activities during commissioning and testing of the lift.
- Report the condition of the lift to the Supervisor who is responsible for site activities.
Qualifications and previous experience:
- Minimum 50-70% of NVQ4 or equivalent Lift Engineering qualification. We provide opportunity to complete NVQ4.
- Previous experience as a Lift Tester.
- Familiarity with operating systems e.g. Windows, basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WAN).
- Good written and spoken English.
- Clear UK driving licence.
