The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.
To oversee and manage all Passive Fire works within the Passive Fire Protection Department from inception through to completion whilst building a team around you to support the department and its requirements. Targets will be set by the Directors which must be met in order to succeed within the role.
Responsibilities
- Formulate tender documents for small works, working closely with clients and their requirements.
- Attend regular meetings with estimating department to update on small works and receive larger works handovers, tendered by the estimating department.
- Manage contractor selection process, sub-contracts, Suppliers and internal staff.
- Mentor and provide support to Project Managers, Contractors and Engineers as well as supporting other departments within the business in your field of expertise.
- Take ownership of projects from conception/handover through to completion.
- Liaise with all stakeholders to enable a smooth delivery of all projects.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers on design and technical aspects including standard details.
- Oversee and manage all H&S and environmental compliance and processes.
- Follow all company procedures and processes inline with ISO9001 & 14001.
- Oversee and undertake full project management of projects to include programmes, surveys, audits, client meetings, finances, sub-contract orders etc.
- Manage and oversee the implementation and management of Passive Fire software – namely One Trace.
- Continually monitor the financial position of the department and projects within and discuss any issues of financial concern regarding the profitability of the project with the Directors.
- Oversee and prepare O&M Manuals and as fitted drawings and issue in readiness for handover.
- Utilise own initiative to find solutions to overcome any issues on-site.
- Attend regular meetings with the Directors to discuss the BDP (Business Development Plan), targets set, financial updates and forecasts.

- Good understanding of Passive Fire Industry – essential.
- Experience in line management and HR responsibilities – essential.
- Experience in a customer facing role, with a proven track record of building client relationships – essential.
- Ability to understand and produce estimates for small works – essential.
- Ability to read drawings and design specifications – essential.
- Evidence of continued professional development - essential.
- Ability to manage a variety of Project Managers, sub-contractors, Suppliers and projects – essential.
- Proven management skills - proven ability to lead and manage individual performance essential.
- Good communication skills (written & verbal) - essential.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office programmes – essential.
- Produce management reports to include financial data, forecasts etc. – essential.
- Able to work with AutoCAD as required – Desirable.
- IOSHH Managing Safely Qualification – Desirable.
Qualifications
- Relevant City & Guilds or NVQ qualifications including CSCS / SMSTS – essential.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills – essential.
- 10 years experience within Senior Management role – Desirable.
- Current good standing relationships with clients are a plus – Desirable.
- Current good standing relationships with Sub-contractors in the area – Desirable.
