We are recruiting for Investigators to assist a government body with an investigation.
Pay rate: £24 per hour outside IR35 (paid weekly)
Pay options: Sole Trader, Ltd company or Umbrella company
Location: Newport, Monmouthshire, Wales
Hours: Full time, part time or compressed hours available β Office based
Contract duration: Temporary ongoing
Duties:
- Gathering, reviewing information, ensuring relevant material is appropriately assessed, recorded and shared with authorised parties in accordance with applicable legislation, policies and procedures.
- Obtain and accurately record, ensuring records are clear, concise and compliant with relevant policies, legislation and professional standards.
- Review and collection of available visual material.
- Take responsibility for the secure management, recording, movement and submission of items and materials relevant to an investigation. Prepare documentation for specialist examination where required and assist with preparing materials for formal presentation.
- Attend formal proceedings or meetings where required and provide clear, factual information relating to enquiries undertaken.
- Use relevant organisational systems and databases to record, manage and retrieve information, including maintaining accurate records relating to information management and evidence.
- Review and present information received as part of enquiries, including visual recordings, information gathered from local sources, digital material and information obtained from third parties.
- Conduct research and assist with the preparation of investigation files, reports and supporting documentation for onward review and decision-making.
- Assist with formal interviews and information-gathering meetings where required, subject to appropriate training, qualifications and authorisations.
