Vacancy β Electrical Supervisor
Are you excited by the opportunity to lead a team of technicians to carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance in a safe, efficient and effective manner? Do you have experience leading and managing multi-skilled teams of engineers in a heavy industrial environment? We are seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join our team at the Port of Liverpool and help us keep the world moving!
Your Role
In this role you will oversee a multi-skilled maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient operation of all aspects of the business unit. You will maintain plant and equipment within Peel Ports Mersey operational areas, ensuring duties are undertaken of a high standard whilst prioritising safety.
You will deliver all aspects of maintenance, statutory compliance, installation and commissioning of new equipment; including the use of key contractors and preferred suppliers. A key function of this role is to work closely with other engineering and operational functions. You will ensure compliance with all company policies and any statutory legislation applicable to the role, with particular regard to our obligations under PUWER, PSSR, COSHH, LOLER, and DSEAR.
What you\βll bring
You will have experience leading and managing multi-functional and multi-skilled teams of engineers in a heavy industry (or similar environment), alongside:
- Knowledge of DSEAR, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH regulations and risk assessments
- Previous experience producing Root Cause Analysis and problem solving documentation
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent problem solving skills and experience of Continuous Improvement strategies
- Hold a minimum of HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
- A good understanding of Mechanical Engineering
A full valid driving licence is essential for this position, you will also be required to occasionally work at heights and in confined spaces.
