Peel Medical Practice is looking for a Medical Receptionist Administrator who is professional, flexible & reliable with a track record of excellent customer service skills. Experience in General Practice is desirable but not essential. You will join a team of Receptionist Administrators working a 5-day week. The team is supportive, and the practice is innovative with a long history of developing and looking after our staff.

The Practice opening hours are from 7:30 - 18:30 with extended hours commitments in addition, which may incur an 8pm finish or a Saturday morning working arrangement. The successful candidate must be flexible in their hours based on the demands of the rotas and to fit in with the business needs of the surgery.

Main duties of the job:

  • To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception and administrative duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, patient registration, booking and rearranging appointments, processing of information (electronic and hard copy) and assisting patients as required.
  • To act as the central point of contact for patients.
  • The distribution of information, messages, and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.
