The team works closely with numerous teams and stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable and well-governed execution capabilities for both clients and internal trading desks.
This role is suited to an Analyst with some industry experience, who brings a foundational understanding of systems and technology - ideally including Fidessa. The role requires ownership of workstreams and projects, taking direction on priorities before independently driving delivery through to completion. A strong focus is placed on collaboration, continuous improvement and the ability to articulate clear rationale for change, including documenting requirements, decisions and outcomes to a high standard.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude, a willingness to challenge and improve existing processes, and a genuine desire to continue developing their technical, market and execution knowledge. This is an opportunity for someone with project management skills, enjoys problem-solving, working across teams, and making a tangible impact on the evolution of electronic execution capabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a strong understanding of the regulatory environment and behaviours aligned to the FCA Conduct Rules, applying this knowledge consistently across project and delivery work.
- Support initiatives for technology and platform development, particularly those linked to enhancing the low-touch execution strategy and supporting growth in electronic flow.
- Coordinate and contribute to trading platform release testing activities, including PHAT releases and Fidessa upgrades, working closely with Technology, Trading and other stakeholders to support safe and timely delivery.
- Maintain and enhance Product & Execution Architecture documentation, ensuring requirements, decisions and changes are clearly captured and kept up to date.
- Support the annual RTS 6 governance cycle, assisting with preparation, analysis, documentation and review of algorithmic execution processes.
- Assist with management information and metrics to support improvements in efficiency; working closely with specialist teams in the business.
- Work collaboratively across Trading, Technology, Risk and Compliance to deliver projects effectively, manage dependencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Take ownership of assigned workstreams, managing tasks from definition through to execution, escalating risks or issues appropriately and ensuring delivery to agreed timelines.
- Actively seek opportunities to improve processes, controls and ways of working, contributing to efficiency gains and improved execution outcomes.
- Adhere to all relevant governance frameworks, demonstrating sound judgement and professionalism at all times.
- Take responsibility for ongoing learning and development, building deeper technical, systems and execution knowledge and increasing effectiveness within the role.
- Build positive working relationships with third party vendors and internal stakeholders across multiple internal teams.
- Take an active role on projects as directed by the Head of Team.
- Contribute to a strong team culture and reputation.
