Class Teacher (0.4FTE/2 days) in Stourbridge

Stourbridge Full-Time On-site

Do you want to teach somewhere you are known, valued and supported to flourish?

At Pedmore, every child is known by name and every adult matters. We are a Church of England primary school on the edge of Stourbridge, and we are looking for a caring, creative class teacher to join our team.

At Pedmore you will find colleagues who share ideas, look out for each other and celebrate each other's successes.

"Thank you for your interest in joining our school family. At Pedmore, our Christian vision is not words on a wall. It shapes how we greet each child in the morning, how we support each other on a hard day, and how we help every child believe they can achieve. If you want to teach somewhere that cares about you as much as the children, we would love to hear from you."

David Dunn, Head Teacher

Our Christian vision: "Love one another, as I have loved you" (John 13:34)

Our vision is rooted in Jesus' command to love one another.

Learning together in Happiness, Respect, Trust and Compassion.

Happiness β€” we want children and staff to find real joy in learning and in school life

Respect β€” respect for everyone and everything, whatever our differences, sits at the heart of our school rules: Ready, Respect, Safe

Trust β€” we do what is right, so children, families and colleagues can rely on each other

Compassion β€” when someone falls, we help them up

We are an inclusive church school that welcomes families and staff of all faiths and none. Daily collective worship, close links with our parish church and a values-rich curriculum help every child grow academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

The role

You will cover 2 days in a class, currently Year 5, planning and teaching lessons that spark curiosity and help every child make strong progress. You will work closely with your year-group partner, support staff and our SENCo, and play a full part in the wider life of the school, from worship and trips to clubs and celebrations.

We'd love to hear from you if you:

are a qualified teacher (QTS)

are an excellent classroom practitioner

have high expectations and warm, positive relationships with children

adapt teaching so every child, including those with SEND, can succeed

are a team player who is open to feedback and keen to keep learning

will support and promote our Christian vision and values as a Church of England school

share our total commitment to safeguarding children

What we offer you

Happy children who are proud of their school and keen to learn

A kind, supportive team that lives out our values with each other, not just with the children

A family of church schools β€” as part of the Elements Diocesan Learning Trust, you join networks of colleagues across the Diocese for shared training, moderation and career progression

Wellbeing that is taken seriously β€” protected PPA, sensible marking and feedback policy, no unnecessary data drops

Teachers' Pension Scheme and pay in line with the national teachers' pay framework

Come and see us

Visits are warmly encouraged.

We welcome applications from all sections of the community.
