Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in soft landscaping and garden maintenance
- Good horticultural and plant knowledge
- Experience leading, supervising, or mentoring a team
- Confident operating garden machinery including mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, and associated equipment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors throughout the year
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
Desirable
- PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates (training provided if required)
About the Role
Working closely with the Gardens Manager, you'll supervise day-to-day site operations while remaining actively involved in the practical work. You'll provide guidance to your team, liaise with clients, monitor project progress, and ensure every site is completed to the highest standards. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong organisational and people-management skills.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead and motivate landscaping and maintenance teams on site with support from Gardens Manager
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Step into management responsibilities when the Gardens Manager is unavailable
- Landscaping & Maintenance
- Carry out and oversee planting, pruning, lawn care, and general garden maintenance
- Delivery and completion of soft landscaping project
- Ensure all work reflects excellent standards
- Client & Site Management
- Provide gardens advice and recommendations
- Monitor project progress and maintain quality standards
- Salary: £26,000 - £27,000 DOE
