Are you looking for a role that specializes in children’s residential care, offers flexible hours, and requires a full UK manual driving licence? Pebbles Care is building a zero-hour workforce to provide additional support for children and young people across the region.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people, supporting their education, cooking, cleaning, and engaging in activities.
  • Support care teams across several homes in the same area.
  • Receive a full induction, shadow shifts, and in-depth training, including an introduction to Therapeutic Parenting.
  • Communicate regularly regarding your availability for shifts, covering as many shifts as possible, with a minimum of one shift every four weeks to remain in the role.

What we offer you:

  • Hourly rate of £12.25 - £13.00 per hour and £80 per sleep payment, depending on qualifications and training (Full-time equivalent salary is £33,738 to £35,209).
  • Cover 24-hour shifts, including sleepovers, or part-time daytime shifts.

  • One year’s experience working with children or young adults is highly desirable.
  • SCQF Level 7 (Scotland) or Level 3 Diploma (England) relevant to Children and Young People’s Residential workforce or willingness to work towards this.
  • Familiarity with the Codes of Practice set out by regulatory bodies (e.g., SSSC / Ofsted).
  • Existing PVG / DBS certificate or willingness to obtain this.
