Pebbles Care has an exciting opportunity for you to collaborate with our established team and become an integral part of our children\βs lives. Your role may vary each working day across a small cluster of homes, with various shift patterns to support holiday or training cover. Our unique cluster roles allow you to enhance your development and enrich your experience by offering varied work and the opportunity to work across diverse teams.
Your responsibilities include daily home life, such as driving our children to and from school, appointments, and visits (a full UK manual driving license is essential). You will also teach valuable life skills, including meal preparation and household chores, while creating lasting memories through engaging activities, outings, and holidays.
Your role as a Cluster Residential Child Care Worker
You will be employed part-time as a dedicated team member, averaging 45 hours weekly. Working collaboratively with your team on shift across multiple locations in a cluster of homes within a short journey of each other, you will provide support tailored to the young person\βs needs, either one-to-one or two-to-one.
Your training will begin on day one with our comprehensive induction and shadow shifts. During these, you will learn about the Pebbles Way and our therapeutic care model, supported by your manager and our in-house Learning and Development team.
What we offer you
- A salary of Β£ 34,719.00 to Β£ 36,248.00 per annum, pro rata for part-time roles, depending on experience.
- Our Cluster full-time roles operate on a rota pattern of one day on (24 hours, including sleepover) and two days off (48 hours). Your role will operate on an average of 45 hours per week and your rotamay be subject to change, but you will be notified in advance.
- Your average weekly working hours are 45 per week. Your rota will depend on the requirements of your home or others in the cluster.
- You will receive 5.6 weeks annual leave per annum (this will be pro-rata for part-time contracts)
- Our Learning and Development team can help you receive 100% funding for your Level 3 SVQ /NVQ qualification in Residential Child Care.
- You will receive a career review upon completing your induction, training, and minimum qualifications.

- Up to 12 months experience working with children or young adults. (If you have more than 12 months experience, then our grade two and three level salaries may apply)
- Working towards, or a desire to obtain, SCQF Level 7 or Level 3 Diploma relevant to Children and Young People\\\βs Residential workforce (funding may be available)
- Familiar with the Codes of Practice set out by regulatory bodies.
- An existing PVG / DBS certificate
