Pebble Recruitment is working with a leading Ecological Consultancy seeking an Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join their growing team around Chelmsford, Essex / surrounding areas. This consultancy is seeking Ecologists of all levels to join a new, exciting company with a Director who has a superb track record in growing companies. Our client is known for delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions while supporting both clients around the Chelmsford and surrounding areas, as well as a real focus on employee well-being. You’ll work closely with the ecology team on a range of projects, including protected species surveys, PEAs, and BNG assessments.
The Ecologist Role- Undertake protected species surveys
- Prepare tenders and fee proposals
- Produce technical reports (PEA, BNG, protected species)
- Manage small to medium projects (with support on larger ones)
- 3–8 years’ industry experience
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or similar
- At least one protected species licence (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation
- CIEEM membership (advantageous)
- £27,000 – £40,000 DOE
- 23 days holiday + bank holidays (option to buy more)
