A leading independent consultancy is seeking an experienced Planner to join their growing team. The firm has extensive experience delivering projects in the UK and internationally, from modest commercial extensions to large-scale residential schemes, public infrastructure, and regeneration projects. Their clientele is diverse, including developers, landowners, local authorities, government bodies, housing providers, financial institutions, and private enterprises.

Associate Town Planner Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit planning applications and supporting documents
  • Draft planning statements, appeal documents, and site appraisals
  • Undertake policy and site research
  • Support with business development
  • Attend client meetings and liaise with local authorities
  • Mentor junior members of the team

Associate Town Planner Requirements:

  • Experience in a town planning role (ideally mix of private & public sector)
  • Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI)
  • Knowledge of UK planning legislation and policy frameworks
  • Excellent report writing, communication, and client-facing skills
  • Full UK driving license
  • Line management experience
