At this specialist tier, the Education Specialist uses growing content and assessment expertise to take ownership of moderately complex curriculum or learning resource tasks, often working independently but as part of a larger team. They interpret and implement project guidelines, produce environment-specific content, and provide constructive input during project meetings. Their work routinely involves troubleshooting instructional issues, testing new content methods, and supporting ongoing improvements to assessments and resources.
This role exists to inspire learners and enable meaningful development in business, leadership, and management skills. You will be motivated by delivering interactive, engaging training that transforms learner confidence, competence, and career progression.
In your first six months, your biggest impact will come from establishing strong learner relationships, embedding effective teaching and coaching practices, and supporting the delivery of tailored, high-quality programmes.
Success in this role means learners are engaged, progressing on plan, and achieving their learning objectives. You will own:
- Delivery of high-quality business skills and leadership programmes in both face-to-face and virtual workshop environments
- Creation and continual improvement of training resources, materials, and e-learning content
- Coaching, mentoring, and providing actionable feedback to learners to support their development and achievement
- Providing high-quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to learners, helping them make informed decisions about programme suitability, progress, next steps and available support.
- Signposting learners to appropriate internal/external support services and recording IAG conversations/decisions in line with policy and safeguarding.
You will also lead and influence:
- The integration of technology into learning to enhance engagement and outcomes
- Evaluation and improvement of programme effectiveness, supporting standardisation and best practice
- Positive relationships with learners, business partners, and stakeholders to support Pearson TQ's reputation and impact
You bring expertise in business skills and leadership training, along with the ability to inspire and develop learners. You bring:
- Relevant teaching, training, or assessor qualifications
- At least 5 years' experience delivering business skills or leadership programmes
- Industry experience in a substantive management or leadership role
- Proven experience creating engaging, impactful training content and using technology to support learning
You are someone who:
- Delivers interactive, differentiated learning that meets diverse learner needs
- Communicates clearly, professionally, and persuasively
- Thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments and models continuous improvement
- Demonstrates consistently good or outstanding teaching practice
Desirable experience includes:
- Healthcare sector knowledge, especially NHS operational improvement
- Delivery of CMI or Level 5/7 Leadership & Management qualifications
- Management qualifications at Level 5 or above
- IAG qualification (or willingness to work towards one) and commitment to engage in internal IAG training and ongoing CPD.
