We are looking for a Business Skills Coach to join our friendly team who can deliver high quality training programmes to develop our Apprentices' knowledge, skills and behaviours for their Level 5 Coaching Professional and Leadership & Management Programmes. The ideal candidate will have solid experience working in Apprenticeships, ideally delivering coaching and management qualifications.
Your responsibilities will include completing Apprentice learning, assessments, reviews, and completions efficiently, always aiming to exceed the quality standards set by management. You'll support every aspect of the learner journey, from preparing for the Gateway to delivering valuable, professional feedback and providing exceptional learning experiences and steadfast guidance to ensure every apprentice and learner achieves their Apprenticeship standards and qualifications successfully.
Location: Based on a hybrid working model, you will have the ability to work remotely with very occasional travel to customer sites and/or our Pearson offices.
Core tasks and responsibilities:- Develop and deliver personalised learning programmes supporting apprentices in gaining the required knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
- Contribute to assessment, eligibility, onboarding, and induction to accurately record apprentices' starting points.
- Provide individual coaching, arrange visits, and support apprentices in developing workplace skills essential for qualification completion.
- Assess apprentices against criteria and provide constructive feedback.
- Conduct assessments within set timeframes to monitor progress and generate evidence for qualifications.
- Utilise e-portfolios and virtual learning environments effectively to support apprentices' learning and development.
- Conduct face-to-face and/or virtual workshop sessions to coach apprentices in coaching, business and management skills.
- Track apprentices' progress, conduct formal reviews, and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
- Maintain accurate apprentice records across various systems and assist in ongoing programme development.
- Engage in CPD activities, attend meetings, and support other qualifications/programmes as needed.
- Qualified trainer and assessor with demonstrable training and delivery experience of Level 5 Coaching and Management Apprenticeships and Qualifications.
- Delivery experience of Level 5 Coaching Professional Apprenticeships would be desirable.
- Industry competence and experience in a management and coaching role.
- Proficient in managing learners and caseloads effectively.
- Utilises technology adeptly to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
- Can consistently demonstrate operating as an outstanding or minimum good trainer/assessor, through previous OTLA (Observation of Teaching and Learning) and standardisation observations.
- Proven ability to work in a target driven environment with a track record in successfully achieving targets.
- Excellent written skills to enable detailed feedback and target setting of objectives.
- Experience of Ofsted inspections and an understanding of ESFA funding requirements desirable but not essential.
