As Team Manager, Assessment you will provide operational leadership and implementation oversight of assessment delivery across assigned subject areas, operating within the strategic and delivery framework set by the Lead, Assessment. You will be accountable for delivering outcomes through effective execution, management control and operational assurance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Be accountable for the operational performance of assessment delivery across multiple subject areas, ensuring delivery meets expectations for time, quality, cost and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure assessment delivery is executed in line with defined delivery models, governance and assurance frameworks set at portfolio level.
  • Provide senior oversight of assessment planning, delivery, marking, awarding and post-results activity, ensuring consistency and resilience across teams.
  • Translate regulatory requirements and strategic direction into operational plans, controls and delivery expectations for assessment teams.
  • Ensure all assessment activity complies with regulatory frameworks, internal policies and external quality assurance requirements.
  • Provide escalation, decision-making and resolution for complex operational, regulatory or quality issues, including those with reputational risk.
  • Oversee capacity planning, prioritisation and deployment of resources across teams to manage peak delivery cycles and competing demands.
  • Lead the implementation of operational improvements to assessment processes, controls and quality assurance mechanisms to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Manage delivery risks within assigned areas, ensuring effective mitigation, escalation and alignment to the wider assessment governance framework.
