Job description
We are looking for a Product Developer to join our maths product team.
Our team is responsible for defining the strategy for Pearson's market-leading maths qualifications for UK secondary schools. It is an exciting time to join the team as we focus on how to improve support for our existing qualifications as well as leading the way in thinking about the future of maths qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Managing the updating and maintenance of specifications and sample assessment materials through the lifecycle for the portfolio of qualifications allocated, in accordance with Ofqual regulations
- Conducting research in preparation for potential qualification reform
- Managing the development of high-quality free resources to support customers delivering our qualifications
- Recruiting, briefing, training and managing writers and subject specialists in a strategic way to deliver materials to time, budget and quality
- Collaborating with colleagues from across the business to deliver a strong customer experience for our qualifications
- Working effectively in cross-functional teams with colleagues across the business to ensure a positive working culture
- Contributing to innovation and improvement in our processes across the team.
Skills and experience
- Experience working in education (experience working in qualification development would be desirable but is not essential)
- Strong eye for detail
- Ability to work flexibly and manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills
