Location: GB-Wainscott-RSME Islingham Farm (or as required within the United Kingdom and/or overseas).
Role Requirements:
- National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) Instructor
- NVQ Assessor- Plant Operations
- Defense Instructional Techniques (DIT) qualified
- Professional Teaching Certificate
- CAT B, C, G & H driving licence
- Attend Defense Trainer (residential) course (DTc)
Specific Duties:
- Train MOD Regular and Reservist personnel at the Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME)
- Ensure the operation and maintenance of plant equipment or Engineer Construction Plant in line with Course Documentation
- Responsible for Health, Safety and welfare of personnel under training
- Perform reasonable tasks commensurate with grade
Dynamic General Duties:
- Prepare and maintain Course Documentation
- Mark, assess, and provide constructive feedback on student performance
- Ensure serviceability and maintenance of equipment used by students
- Maintain equipment as required by the training program:
- Receipt equipment from Babcock
- Maintain the equipment and documents for the demand period
- Report faults immediately to Babcock
- Monitor and record rectification of faults
- Return equipment to Babcock in line with doctrine
- Submit reports on students and courses as detailed by Line Managers
Strategic Management/Communication Excellence:
- Communicate honestly with Line Managers
- Be responsible for personal time and attendance
- Achieve deadlines/targets set by Line Manager
- Work within the departmental budget and assist in cost control
- Assist Line Manager in implementing change within the department
- Communicate and liaise with all other departments as required
- Assist Line Manager in working towards the Business Plan and Long-term/Strategic objectives
Reviews & Planning Commitment:
- Be available for timely reviews and appraisals by immediate Line Manager
Training & Evaluation Innovation:
- Ensure receipt of agreed training identified at appraisal or outside
- Complete requests for training documentation and discuss fully with immediate Line Manager
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training and development activities
- Effectively utilise new skills from training received
Responsibilities Showcase:
- Work within the Company’s Quality procedures within relevant departments
- Assist in working towards & maintaining relevant standards
- Conform with Health and Safety at Work Regs and environmental issues
- Conform with actions necessary in cases of incidents, accidents, fire and environmental issues
- Keep all work areas clean and safe
- Undertake/perform other duties associated with this role, by agreement
- Act as an ambassador for the Company
