The International Primary and Lower Secondary Trainer for Pearson Edexcel International Primary and Lower Secondary Curriculum plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive, pedagogy-driven training courses to teachers of the iPLS Curriculum across Pakistan. The position is designed for experienced educators with a background in Primary and Lower Secondary teaching—ideally across Maths, English, and Science—and with experience teaching non-native English speakers. This position demands up-to-date expertise in the education sector, strong subject knowledge, and the ability to present and communicate effectively. The role requires excellent organisational, leadership, and customer service skills, along with a commitment to professional development and adherence to Pearson's quality standards and regulatory guidelines. You may be asked to travel within Pakistan.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements for Trainers:
- Pre-Event Preparation: Attend in-house briefings provided by Pearson as needed, to gain a thorough understanding of the courses and supporting materials. Participate in training sessions designed to build the technical skills necessary for effective online event delivery. Engage in practice with training resources to ensure complete confidence and competence in their use.
- Delivery of Training Sessions: Ensure all session objectives are fully achieved during the training event. Present information in a manner that is appropriate for both the participants and the training environment. Respond to customer queries during training professionally and appropriately. Manage personal time and make necessary travel arrangements with the support of Pearson. Conduct training sessions in strict accordance with guidelines set by both the regulator and Pearson.
- Feedback and Evaluation: Complete and submit a summary feedback form for each session delivered.
Experience and Qualifications:
- You have a Qualified Teacher Status within your country of work.
- Demonstrated experience teaching primary and/or lower secondary curriculum.
- Background in delivering effective training to adult participants.
- Strong subject knowledge relevant to the training content.
- Experience in teaching, administration, assessment, or management within the subject and level required.
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
- Capacity to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with laptops, internet usage, and Microsoft PowerPoint, as well as experience using technology to enhance training delivery.
