Their domain expertise is relied upon to design robust analytical approaches, optimize data collection methods, and develop sophisticated metrics that influence key decisions. Regularly, this role collaborates with product, research, and technology teams to integrate multiple data sources and advise on modeling and a range of research methodologies, ensuring analytical rigor across deliverables. The AI & Innovation Business Manager will play a pivotal role in championing AI-driven solutions and innovative practices across the division. This includes building and communicating the case for change, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives, and delivering outcomes effectively by gathering and interpreting data, producing evidence-based reports, and providing insight into the efficacy and impact of transformational projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day direction and management for projects within and across transformation workstream, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and delivering outcomes effectively.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams working on AI and innovation projects, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Identify opportunities to integrate AI and automation into operational processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and impact.
- Gather, analyse, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to evidence outcomes and support decision-making and validation of product design through both an educational measurement and customer experience lens.
- Produce clear, evidence-based reports and presentations to communicate project progress, outcomes, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Communicate the case for change clearly and consistently to all stakeholders, ensuring engagement, understanding, and buy-in.
- Identify and manage key stakeholders, including external stakeholders such as centres and regulators, building strong relationships to support change readiness and effective implementation.
- Facilitate workshops, briefings, and training sessions to support product understanding and user adoption.
- Design and deliver research-led activities to evaluate the efficacy and impact of AI-enabled and transformational projects.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI, EdTech, and digital innovation, sharing insights and best practices with teams and stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in operational delivery, change management, or transformation roles within the educational environment.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end qualification development lifecycle and quality assurance processes for both internal and external assessments.
- Ability to support research-led activities, including gathering evidence and producing reports to assess product validation, impact and effectiveness.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and adoption strategies.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving delivery of transformation projects or workstreams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Familiarity with AI tools, data analytics platforms, or digital assessment technologies.
