Service Provider at this tier specialise in efficiently executing moderately complex school service tasks with increasing independence and technical proficiency. Often these tasks are essential to services and directly related to contractual or compliance requirements. They own well-defined processes to execute their responsibilities and ensure distribution of their product or service. Their responsibility also extends to troubleshooting recurring operational obstacles, providing detailed updates to managers, and initiating improvements in routine delivery practices. This role requires focus on quality and accuracy to ensure that all work not only meets, but consistently exemplifies, the company's standards for school support.
This role aligns with market titles such as Apprenticeship Coach, Leadership & Management Coach, Learning & Development Coach, or Skills Trainer, and plays a key role in ensuring strong learner outcomes, high achievement rates, and an exceptional apprenticeship experience.
This role exists to support apprentices throughout their full learning journey - from onboarding and initial assessment through to Gateway and successful completion. You will wake up motivated by coaching professionals to grow in confidence, capability, and performance, and by seeing your impact reflected in learner progression and achievement.
In your first six months, your biggest impact will be building strong apprentice relationships, embedding effective coaching practices, and ensuring learners are progressing in line with programme and funding requirements.

What You Will Own
Success in this role means apprentices are engaged, progressing on plan, and achieving high-quality outcomes. Your key priorities will include:
- Owning the end-to-end delivery of Level 5 apprenticeship programmes, including coaching, assessment, reviews, and Gateway preparation
- Coaching apprentices to develop workplace knowledge, skills, and behaviours aligned to their Apprenticeship Standard
- Assessing learner evidence and providing timely, constructive written and verbal feedback
- Providing high-quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to learners, helping them make informed decisions about programme suitability, progress, next steps and available support.
- Signposting learners to appropriate internal/external support services and recording IAG conversations/decisions in line with policy and safeguarding.
You will also lead and contribute to:
- Initial assessment, eligibility checks, onboarding, and induction activities
- Progress tracking, formal reviews, and compliance with ESFA and awarding body requirements
- Effective use of e-portfolios and virtual learning environments
- Continuous improvement of programmes, resources, and delivery approaches
- CPD, standardisation, and cross-programme support as required
About You
You are an experienced apprenticeship professional who combines strong coaching capability with a quality-first mindset. You bring:
- Qualified trainer and assessor status
- Demonstrable experience delivering Level 5 Coaching and/or Leadership & Management apprenticeships
- Industry experience within coaching and management roles
- Strong caseload management and organisational skills
You are someone who:
- Thrives in a target-driven, outcomes-focused environment
- Uses technology confidently to enhance learning and efficiency
- Produces high-quality written feedback and clear development objectives
- Consistently performs at good or outstanding levels, evidenced through OTLA and standardisation
- Takes ownership of learner success and continuous improvement
Desirable:
- Delivery experience of Level 5 Coaching Professional Apprenticeships
- Experience supporting Ofsted inspections
- Understanding of ESFA funding requirements
- IAG qualification (or willingness to work towards one) and commitment to engage in internal IAG training and ongoing CPD.
