About the Role
As a Quality Officer, you will oversee operational processes, identify opportunities for process improvement, and work alongside cross‐functional teams to put effective solutions into action. Your analytical mindset and proactive attitude will help streamline procedures, minimise risk, and embed best practices throughout our organisation. Position Purpose
To provide support to the Senior Quality Manager, ensuring that all aspects of provision meet the requirements of PTQ military contracts and comply with relevant standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain the quality of apprenticeship delivery within PTQ's military contracts.
- Assist in the delivery of Apprenticeship Standards and formal qualifications within the programme.
- Coordinate and support the execution of teaching and assessment observations to monitor and encourage effective teaching, assessment, and learning practices.
- Provide comprehensive support and guidance to administrative and delivery teams regarding quality standards and procedural requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate both internal and external audits in accordance with company policy, including the maintenance of schedules for internal funding and quality file checks.
- Oversee and assist with preparations for internal and external inspections.
- Regularly update and maintain policies and procedures relevant to assigned areas of responsibility.
- Support the development and management of flexible learning methodologies that prioritise Apprentices/Learners, incorporating tools such as e‐learning, e‐portfolios, and digital platforms.
- Assist in the production and revision of key quality‐related reports as required, including:
- Contributions to Self‐Assessment Reports and Quality Improvement Plans
- Quarterly Army Apprenticeship Quality Commentary
- Moderation of Observation of Teaching, Learning & Assessment (OTLA)
- Analysis of Employer and Apprentice/Learner Feedback reports
- Monthly sampling of online Apprentice/Learner evidence

Essentials
- Recognised quality qualification
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience in the apprenticeship sector
- Current teaching, assessing, and quality assurance qualifications
- Understanding of the Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and ESFA funding compliance
- Knowledge of quality cycles
- Experience with Ofsted inspections and ESFA audits
- Experience promoting continuous improvement practices
- Experience developing and improving apprenticeship delivery, preferably in a military environment
- Knowledge of teaching, assessment (including EPA), and quality assurance processes.
