We are looking for a Specialist, Product Management to join our Maths Product team, working across our UK Maths and Statistics qualification portfolio. Our team is responsible for defining the strategy for Pearson's market-leading Maths qualifications for UK secondary schools. It is an exciting time to join the team as we focus on how to improve support for our existing qualifications as well as leading the way on the future of Maths as we approach qualification reform.
As a Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers are supported in the delivery of our qualifications, through the development and delivery of free support material, resources and CPD for teachers. You will be involved in driving innovation and ensuring our qualifications remain at the forefront of educational excellence.
Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end process for planning, producing and maintaining free support materials for our existing UK Maths and Statistics qualifications, ensuring they are accurate, accessible and easy for centres to implement.
- Develop and manage a rolling resource and CPD roadmap aligned to portfolio strategy, qualification updates/reform and customer needs.
- Commission and brief authors, reviewers and vendors; define clear outcomes, briefs, schedules and success criteria for new materials and CPD.
- Manage production workflows and timelines (from concept to publication), coordinating inputs across editorial, assessment, design, digital, accessibility and legal/compliance teams.
- Lead quality assurance, including pedagogical review, technical accuracy, brand consistency and accessibility standards, and ensure materials are compliant with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Use research and insight (teacher feedback, data, market and policy monitoring) to prioritise improvements and identify gaps and opportunities for new resources and CPD.
- Partner with marketing, sales and customer-facing teams to plan launches, messaging and journeys that drive awareness and adoption of support materials and CPD.
- Manage budgets for assigned qualifications and support programmes; track spend, value and supplier performance.
- Measure impact using qualitative and quantitative indicators (usage, satisfaction, training outcomes) and run continuous improvement to keep support up to date across the qualification lifecycle.
- Experience in product development or management for the education sector.
- Subject knowledge or familiarity with our Maths qualifications is desirable but not essential.
