Reporting to the Head of Investigations, the Investigations Team Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the Investigations team’s daily operations. This involves managing various administrative and coordination tasks to ensure investigations are conducted efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and logging new cases on Pearson systems and assigning them to relevant case officers for investigation.
  • Drafting and sending email/letter correspondence to informants (‘whistle-blowers’), those accused of malpractice, centres, regulators, funding agencies, and other internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Maintaining records and providing internal stakeholders with regular updates on individual and team performance against the established KPIs and SLAs.
  • Maintaining records of expenditure for the team (overtime, expenses, travel costs, consultancy fees, etc.) and providing regular reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Liaising with the pool of panel members to schedule external Malpractice Committees to determine the outcome of our most serious cases.
  • Working with the responsible investigator to compile evidence packs for investigations referred to Malpractice Committee for final determination, ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act and Information Security requirements.
  • Assisting the team in inviting stakeholders, booking rooms and refreshments, confirming agendas, etc.
  • Providing administrative support to the Investigations team to help ensure investigations are conducted in a timely, effective, and compliant manner.
  • Assisting the Head of Investigations and other stakeholders in monitoring the conduct of investigations.
  • Producing accurate, comprehensive data and information to stakeholders.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders in a professional and accurate manner while providing great customer service.
  • Assisting other teams in the Business Improvement and Regulation (BIR) division as necessary.

  • Proficient in researching and analysing data to derive informed conclusions.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks efficiently.
  • Skilled in verbal and written communication with diverse external customers and stakeholders, including handling complex or sensitive matters.
  • Capable of delivering quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with the education sector and its processes would be desirable but not essential.
