Overview
Pearson is seeking experienced and qualified educators to join our team as examiners for the Global Citizenship component of the Pearson Edexcel iPrimary curriculum. This programme draws on best teaching practices and provides progressive support for students, preparing them for further study in a wide range of subjects. Global Citizenship explores the exercise of rights, responsibilities, and values in an interconnected world. Students engage with key themes including Social Justice, Identity and Diversity, Globalisation and Interdependence, Peace and Conflict, Human Rights, Power and Governance, and Sustainable Development.
Responsibilities
- Mark student responses accurately and consistently to maintain overall standards.
- Apply the mark scheme with a high level of subject knowledge and fairness.
- Submit sample scripts to your Team Leader at designated checkpoints.
- Adhere to marking milestones and deadlines.
- Complete all required administrative tasks as specified.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of one academic year’s teaching experience as a qualified teacher within the last eight years.
- For iPrimary: experience must be at higher primary level.
- For iLowerSecondary: experience must be at Key Stage 3 or 4.
- Teaching experience must be in the subject relevant to the vacancy.
- A degree or equivalent qualification.
- Qualified teacher status.

- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- High level of subject expertise to apply the mark scheme accurately.
Additional Information
The iPrimary and iSecondary programmes run two exam series annually: Summer and October.
