A GCSE Chinese (2017 specification) Examiner will mark candidates’ responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, whilst adhering to recognition and examination procedures. Marking is mainly conducted onscreen using ePEN and can be completed from home. A high level of subject knowledge is necessary to apply the mark scheme. Each examiner will receive an agreed allocation of scripts.
Responsibilities
- Mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained.
- Submit samples to the Team Leader at designated times.
- Adhere to milestones for marking.
- Complete all specified administration.
Experience and Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent.
- Qualified teacher – UK and overseas qualifications accepted.
- Relevant teaching and/or assessment experience within the last 10 years.
Competencies Required
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.
Additional Information
- Marking period is between May and July.
