Examiner – GCE A Level – Design and Technology (2017 Specification)We are recruiting examiners to mark candidates\’ responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, adhering to recognition and examination procedures. Most subjects are marked onscreen using ePEN; a few are still marked by paper scripts.
Responsibilities
Mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained
Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times
Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to
Complete all required administration as specified
Experience/qualifications Needed
One academic year\’s worth of teaching experience:
within the last 8 years
within the relevant qualification subject
since qualifying as a teacher
Degree or equivalent
Qualified teacher
Competencies Required
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to meet deadlines
High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme
Additional Information
The marking period is between May and July
The training required to mark as an examiner occurs between May and June
