A GCSE Biology (2016 Specification) Examiner marks candidates’ responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, whilst adhering to conditions of recognition and examination procedures. The marking is conducted mainly on-screen using ePEN from home, with a few subjects still marked traditionally from post. A high level of subject knowledge is essential to apply the mark scheme. Each examiner receives an agreed allocation of scripts.
Responsibilities

- One academic year’s worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, in the relevant qualification subject, since qualifying as a teacher.
