The Advanced Specialist, Marketing - HE Educator is responsible for leading the development and execution of global marketing campaigns that communicate Pearson’s Higher Education value proposition to educators worldwide. This role requires a strategic marketer who can craft compelling narratives that resonate with educators, elevate brand perception, and differentiate Pearson in a competitive market. You will shape and deliver impactful global, insight-driven, multi-channel campaigns that not only drive performance but also build a consistent and engaging global brand.
Working closely with regional marketing, product, sales, and martech teams, you will ensure campaigns are globally aligned, locally relevant, creatively distinctive, and executed to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Global Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Lead the development and execution of global, multi-channel campaigns, focused on “Big Bet” and “Hero” initiatives.
- Translate business priorities into clear and compelling customer propositions, messaging, campaign strategies, and execution plans.
- Shape cohesive narratives that connect campaigns to the broader Pearson brand story.
- Ensure alignment between global strategy and local market needs while maintaining brand consistency.
- Market Insight & Customer Understanding
- Collaborate with regional marketing, product, and sales teams to gather market insights.
- Analyse customer needs and challenges using data to inform campaign strategy and storytelling approaches.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen emotional engagement and brand resonance with educator audiences.
- Campaign Planning & Delivery
- Own campaign launch plans, ensuring alignment across marketing and sales teams.
- Manage campaign kits and frameworks to support structured delivery across regions.
- Brief internal teams, including Martech, on campaign content, digital experiences, and copy requirements.
- Partner with external agencies to develop campaign narrative and creative deliverables.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with global and regional stakeholders to ensure seamless campaign execution.
- Maintain strong communication flows with regional teams on campaign progress and reporting.
- Drive alignment across functions to ensure delivery against timelines, objectives, and brand standards.
- Brand & Content Excellence
- Act as a brand champion and guardian, ensuring all assets reflect Pearson’s voice, values, and visual identity.
- Develop and oversee the creation of compelling, insight-led content and storytelling tailored to educator audiences.
- Ensure consistency, creativity, and quality across all campaign outputs and touchpoints.
- Contribute to the evolution of messaging frameworks and brand narratives.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Collaborate with Martech teams to track KPIs and campaign performance.
- Analyse results and generate insights to inform optimisation and future campaigns.
- Measure both brand impact and campaign effectiveness, balancing long-term equity with short-term performance.
- Prepare and present performance reports to key stakeholders.
- Proven experience delivering compelling global, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Demonstrated ability as a creative storyteller, translating insights into engaging narratives and campaigns.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to align marketing to business and brand goals.
- Experience working across cross-functional and international teams.
- Ability to develop campaigns for both B2B (educators) and D2C (students) audiences.
- Excellent copywriting and content development skills, with a strong sense of tone and voice.
- Experience with marketing tools, analytics, and performance reporting.
- Familiarity with design tools (e.g. Canva, Photoshop) is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
