Shift Pattern: 06:00 - 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00

Our client is a global leader in secure products and services for the financial sector. They are seeking a skilled and motivated Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join their Engineering team. This is a rotation-based customer facing role within a highly secure production environment. The successful candidate will often work independently and act as the sole on-site representative, delivering a professional and high-quality engineering service.

As an Electro-Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining maximum production equipment availability through planned maintenance and reactive breakdown support. Working to tight timeframes, you will apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to minimise downtime and ensure operational continuity. Production operates on a Monday to Friday shift basis, and equipment availability is critical to business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safe and considered methods of working at all times
  • Perform servicing and planned preventative maintenance on production equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
  • Conduct fault finding and root cause analysis
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Provide effective handovers of repaired equipment
  • Manage on-site stock and spare parts
  • Complete all administrative duties including repair logs and stock movement records to a high standard
  • Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and relevant regulatory standards

Our client is looking for someone with:

  • Formal Electrical and/or Mechanical qualification
  • Proven experience fault finding on electrical circuits, including single-phase HV equipment
  • Strong mechanical maintenance experience (motors, gears, encoders, bearings, clutches etc)
  • In-depth knowledge of control systems (highly desirable)
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Comfortable working independently within a secure, lone-working environment
  • Computer literate (knowledge of DOS is advantageous)
  • Professional, customer-focused approach
