Transport Planner  Location – Dover  Salary – Up to 40k DOE  Are you a Transport Planner with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for efficient logistics? We’re working with a well-established haulage company operating extensive UK and European routes, and they’re looking to bring an experienced Transport Planner into their fast-paced, dynamic team. The Role As Transport Planner, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and cost-effective scheduling of freight across the UK and mainland Europe. This is a critical position within the transport team, ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys problem-solving, and is ready to take ownership of daily planning operations. Responsibilities Plan, organise and schedule deliveries across the UK and Europe Route vehicles efficiently, ensuring full loads and timely deliveries Liaise with drivers, clients, and third-party logistics partners Ensure compliance with UK and EU driving regulations and working time directives Monitor driver performance, fuel usage, and vehicle availability Respond to issues or delays in real time and adjust plans accordingly Work closely with the transport manager to meet service level agreements and customer expectations Requirements Proven experience in transport planning, ideally in UK and European road freight Strong geographical knowledge of the UK and European transport network Experience using Transport Management Systems Solid understanding of drivers’ hours, Working Time Directive, and haulage compliance Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines Why Join Work with a reputable and growing haulage business Be part of a collaborative and supportive team Opportunity to make a real impact on operations Progression opportunities available for the right candidate If you’re an experienced Transport Planner looking for your next challenge, we want to hear from you.
